Electric car manufacturer Tesla has installed its first charging stations in Morocco, the first in Africa.
Tesla has recently taken another big step towards expansion to all continents, investing in Morocco and Africa. The company has now opened its first two Superchargers stations in Africa, expanding into previously unexplored territories.
Tesla is one of the most coveted cars in the world. While at the moment the company is officially present on all inhabited continents of the Earth, Africa remained on the sidelines. Now the situation has changed and the happy owners of, Tesla in Morocco, became the first in Africa who can charge their cars with Superchargers.
@MarcoRPTesla/Twitter shared the great news, explaining that Tesla opened two Supercharger stations in Morocco.
The first one is located in:
- Casablanca at the Parking Onomo Hotel, Boulevard Al Massira Al Khadra 20250.
The second one is in:
- Tangier at the Km 19.8, National Route 1 Tangier-Asilah 90100.
Each Supercharger has four V2 stalls with 150 kW. Tesla’s website data confirms that the company opened two Superchargers in Morocco on September 30. Thus, Q3 2021 became the official arrival of, Tesla to Morocco, and Africa.

Despite the lack of charging stations, Tesla cars, are already a wanted commodity in Africa, although not an option for long-distance driving. The emergence of two official charging stations in Morocco is likely to see rapid growth in interest in electric vehicles, Tesla in Morocco.
